NYCFC Signed Argentinean  Midfielder Federico Bravo on loan today from Club Atlético Boca Juniors.

Bravo is 22 years old and has a name that will compliment NYCFC stars Villa and Pirlo beautifully. Dare I say these names are a good…Mix?

As Patrick Viera explained, “He’s a holding midfielder that can also play at the back, I like this versatility. He’s got good technical ability and importantly his game understanding is really good.”

RJ Allen is noted for having a similar versatility and it will be interesting to see if his role will be challenged or if one will mature into a more pure defender.

The maturity of Andoni Iraola and Jason Hernandez provide a formidable defense for NYCFC but they are not getting any younger.

Bravo is the second budding star from Boca Juniors to join MLS this week (the other being Luciano Acosta to D.C. United).  Take that China!

I don’t know much about Federico Bravo. But I do know a name like that deserves a song in the Bronx. I suggest we start here for inspiration. Federiiiiico Bravooo! Suaveee Federiiiico!
