Nike is playing up Air Max Day (3/26) like nobody’s business and this time it’s their insanely popular line of soccer cleats getting the Air Max treatment. Nike has reimagined their current line of cleats in some old school Air Max colorways. The Magista, Mercurials, Hypervenoms, and Tiempos all get the special treatment and they come in cleats, turf shoes, and court sneakers.

I have to be honest, I’m obsessed with the Air Max 97. I had ripped out a full page ad in Sports Illustrated for these shoes when I was in Middle School and pinned it to my wall, that’s how much I wanted these puppies. So clearly, my favorite are the Air Max 97 Magista and MagistaX.  Might have to get myself a pair of the Xs or the release of the actual sneaker (see above link). The cleats range from $275 for Tiempo to $350 for Hypervenoms while the turf and court sneaks are $175.

Hoff gives the Air Max Day Revolution pack a 4 hoofs out of 5 and the Magista Air Max 97 the coveted 4.8 hoofs out of 5. It’s not perfect, but it’s close. These are available at Nike Soccer for
