US Soccer has just released a new crest to represent the Women’s and Men’s national teams. It has an air of maturity and grace about it, two qualities the teams are increasingly embodying out on the field. We’ve had our fair share of logo re-branding criticism here but this is a welcomed change. These days its almost impossible to release a new logo without an absolute uproar of backlash and twitter armies coming out in force to degrade. This release ticked all the American soccer boxes: it took awhile to get here, defied expectations when it did arrive, and much like our original 1776 national re-branding with the stars and stripes will most likely cement us as a world super power for centuries to come.
