Sheffield Wednesday defeated Brighton & Hove Albion today with a 1-1 draw and an aggregate score of 3-1 after two legs of playoff soccer.

The 6th place Owls upset a Brighton team who were in a three-way tie in points for first place with Burnley and Middlesbrough just a few weeks ago.

Lewis Dunk got Brighton on the board early with a goal in the 19th minute but it was not enough to keep The Owls in check.

Despite being outshot 27-8 Sheffield’s lone goal from Ross Wallace in the 28th minute was all that was needed to bring it home.

Ozzie the Owl should be proud of his club that has taken everyone by surprise, sometimes it’s an advantage to be underestimated! Spread your little wings and enjoy boys!

Sheffield Wednesday will face the winner of Derby County vs. Hull City (Tomorrow 245pm EST) at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 28th.

The winner of the this final match will be doing Ducktales Uncle Scrooge laps in a pool of  TV rights money.
