Wayne Rooney scored his 250th goal for Manchester United on Saturday. This marks the all-time record for goals scored for the club. A truly remarkable accomplishment, especially considering he’s 31 years old and it’s one of the most storied clubs of all time. To celebrate the achievement, Nike has unveiled the Hypervenom WR250. The cleat has some unique features. The tongue showcases a custom designed crown logo highlighting the 250 goals, the sock liner is a shout out to the Wayne Rooney Foundation, and WR10 is scribbled on the side of the boot. When placed next to each other the cleats form the St. George’s Cross, a subtle tribute to his records with the English national team. Overall it’s a pretty classy pair of cleats, though since you’re paying over $220 you probably don’t want to kick around in your Sunday league in these. It’s a must have if you are a Rooney fan or a collector of his gear. I’m giving these 3.5 hoofs out of 5. Check the pics below.
